The program has a total duration of three academic years, with the following subjects covered each year:
The foundations: history and philosophy of homoeopathy, the Organon, Materia Medica and repertorisation.

Deepening and clinical application: case-taking, first aid, psychology, chronic and acute conditions.

Completing the clinical training, and the code of ethics.

One weekend a month, in person or via Zoom for students outside Athens.
The Academic Program follows a set annual timetable of courses, so that students progress together as one study group throughout the academic year.
Teaching in homoeopathy takes place mainly one weekend a month and one afternoon arranged between students and teachers, according to the timetable announced for each academic year. The additional courses in anatomy, physiology and pathology are held on other days and times. Attendance can be in person or remotely via Zoom; the Zoom option is for students living outside Athens.
The program is designed to combine systematic training with students’ professional and personal commitments, while keeping the continuity and consistency that a complete education in Classical Homoeopathy requires.
In-person examinations at the end of each year.
Students’ progress is assessed at regular intervals during their studies. At the end of each year there are in-person examinations, which assess how well the material taught has been understood and absorbed. Successfully completing this assessment is required to progress to the next year of the program.
Required for graduation by students without certified knowledge from another healthcare profession.
As a prerequisite for graduation from IKKO, students who do not have a medical or relevant healthcare background are required to acquire fundamental knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
Students other than physicians and nurses who can provide evidence of previous studies covering these core subjects are assessed by the IKKO medical Doctor-instructor responsible for these modules and, upon successful assessment, may be exempted from attending them.
