We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit ikko.gr or contact us through it, why we use it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Greek Law 4624/2019.
1. Who we are
The controller is the Hippocratic Centre of Classical Homeopathy (IKKO), [legal form and full legal name], Tax ID (AFM) [—], Tax Office [—].
- Address: Lesvou 4 & Limnou, 172 37 Dafni, Athens, Greece
- Email: info@ikko.gr
- Phone: +30 210 82 11 431
[If IKKO has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), add their name and email here; otherwise delete this paragraph.]
2. What data we collect
We only collect the data you give us through the website’s forms, plus the minimum technical information the website needs to work. The website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Contact form
Full name, email, phone, subject and your message. We also store the date it was sent, the language of the page and the fact that you confirmed reading this policy.
Interest application
First name, last name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email, phone, city, country, field of interest and preferred programme (required); optionally profession, address, postcode, how you heard about IKKO, preferred contact method and comments.
We ask for three of these for specific reasons:
- Date of birth: the study programmes are for adults (18 and over), so we check that you meet this requirement.
- Nationality: [purpose to be confirmed by IKKO, e.g. information on enrolment documents and on the recognition of diplomas in each country].
- Gender: [purpose to be confirmed by IKKO, e.g. addressing you correctly and keeping the student register]. You can choose “I prefer not to say”.
Newsletter
Only your email address. Your subscription is complete once you confirm it from the message you receive, and every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. [The newsletter is not sent yet; this paragraph describes the planned process.]
Technical data
Like any web server, the server hosting this website logs the IP address, browser type, page and time of each request (server logs). To protect the forms from mass submissions, the website counts submissions per visitor for ten minutes using a cryptographic hash of the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored with your message.
For cookies and local storage in your browser, see the Cookie policy.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Article 6(1)) |
|---|---|
| Answering your message from the contact form | Our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (point f), or steps prior to a contract when you ask about the programmes (point b) |
| Handling your interest application, informing you about the programmes and guiding you through enrolment | Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (point b) |
| Sending the newsletter | Your consent (point a), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Loading external content (Google maps, YouTube or Vimeo videos) | Your consent in the cookie message (point a), which you can withdraw in the Cookie settings |
| Website security and protection against abuse | Legitimate interest (point f) |
| Meeting legal obligations (e.g. tax obligations if you enrol) | Legal obligation (point c) |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, we do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who has access
- Authorised IKKO staff who answer messages and applications. Submissions are stored in a private area of the website that only administrators can see.
- The website’s hosting provider, [name and country], as processor.
- The email delivery provider, [name and country], which delivers notifications and automatic confirmation messages.
- Google (maps) and YouTube or Vimeo (videos), only if you allow it: by accepting external content in the cookie message, or by clicking to load a map or a video. Until then the page does not connect to them.
- Public authorities, only where the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Form data is stored [in the European Union – to be confirmed with the hosting provider]. If you load a Google map or a YouTube or Vimeo video, your connection data (such as your IP address) may be transferred to the United States. These companies take part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework [to be confirmed at publication].
6. How long we keep it
- Messages and interest applications: deleted from the website automatically 365 days after they were sent. Copies in IKKO’s email are kept for [period to be completed].
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: [period set by the hosting provider].
- If you enrol in a programme, your details move to the student register and are covered by [the notice given at enrolment].
7. Your rights
You have the right:
- to know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy (access),
- to have it corrected (rectification) or deleted (erasure),
- to ask us to restrict processing, or to object to it where it is based on legitimate interest,
- to receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format (portability),
- to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, email info@ikko.gr or use the contact form. We answer without undue delay and within one month at the latest. We may ask for information to confirm your identity.
If you believe that the processing breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, 1-3 Kifisias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.
8. Security
The website only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form submissions are not public, can only be accessed by administrators and are deleted automatically. Spam protection runs within the website, without third-party CAPTCHA services. No measure guarantees absolute security; if a breach affects you, we will inform you as the law requires.
9. Minors
The programmes and the website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18; if we find that we have, we delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date of the last update is shown under the title. We will also announce significant changes prominently on the website.
