I turned to the Hippocratic Centre of Classical Homeopathy with considerable scepticism, after having been disappointed by the care and treatment of conventional medicine.
To be specific, my son Konstantinos, 13, developed bronchial asthma. His treatment was cortisone-based medicines, antibiotics and inhalers. It had reached the point where he was taking five different medicines every day, two or three doses of each, and the result was disappointing. He kept coughing all the time like an old man, he had stopped his sporting activities, and at night he had reached 29–32 breaths a minute.
The treatment given to him by the homeopath Mr Gerasimos Stouraitis consisted of one kind of medicine: a single capsule at once and then one a day for a month. I was rather sceptical about the result, which, however, was astonishing. Within the first ten days his breathing at night returned to normal, 20–23 a minute, the terrible cough gradually stopped, and after 20 days he went back to training.
I believe that homeopathy has a lot to offer, as long as we do not ignore it, because there is insufficient information and hostility from conventional medicine.
